Who We Are
Filigree Holdings is one of the largest supplier of sheer curtains in the UK. Our history can be traced back to 1850, under Mr Browne & Co, Lace makers. This business was changed to Dobson’s and M Browne & Co Limited in 1920 and then finally changed to Filigree in 1970, making us a long-established name in the window dressing industry.
Today, Filigree Holdings is a family-owned company situated in the Midlands, in the heart of a region renowned for its history in textiles. With connections to Nottingham and Derbyshire we employ a dedicated workforce who bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to our business. We specialize in the manufacturing of soft furnishings for a fast-moving home interior market. Our aim is to deliver both design and quality at affordable prices offering the highest standards of UK manufacturing and customer service.
Finesse is our made to measure brand made up of three divisions:
Sheers – Fabric by the mtr, Curtains, Roman Blinds and accessories
Fabrics – Fabric by the mtr, Curtains, Roman Blinds and accessories
Blinds – Roller, vertical and Venetian blinds
Finesse Fabrics:
Due to competitive pressures the heavy manufacturing of weaving and knitting was transferred off shore in 2002 at which point our UK manufacturing focused on made to measure soft furnishings.
Our in-house design team are passionate about offering our customers beautiful fabrics that will sit at the heart of any home for years to come. With Finesse Made to Measure you can create a home that is uniquely yours. With an extensive range of styles, qualities and colours, our collections feature a wide range of beautifully crafted fabrics from around the world. With fashionable textures and designs available in our prints, jacquards, plains, embroideries, and velvets. Each available to order as fabric only, Made to Measure curtains, Roman Blinds and Accessories.
Our goal is to make selecting a made to measure product easier. We offer our clients carefully curated waterfall hangers with accompanying photography that help to communicate the interior trends for the season. Each Finesse Fabric collection has been carefully curated by our in-house design team to offer a variety of looks for both the traditional and modern home. We offer co-ordinates across many of our collections, allowing our customers to dress a room with blinds, drapes, cushions and accessories should they wish. All without the need of an interior designer.

From our in-house designers creating the most commercial and desirable fabrics, through to a comprehensive warehouse and sales team that are responsible for efficient order processing and customer service. Our workroom employs many employees for whom have worked within textiles throughout their career for numerous years. Together we strive as a team to deliver a product & service we can be proud of.
